Sustainable Development Despite A Challenging Year

Cinimex, Russian developer and software integrator of comprehensive IT solutions, has recapped its business for last year. In 2020, the company's revenue was 2,188,584,597 RUB, 42% up from the previous year. Cinimex was elevated to Red Hat Premier Business Partner status and stroke new deals with SAS and Cloudera, thus expanding our analytical solutions portfolio.

IBM gave a high appraisal to Cinimex's integration projects with its partner award "For Technical Expertise on IBM Process Transformation and Successful Projects in the Banking Sector".

In 2020, our proprietary solution Cinimex Integration Framework was included into the unified register of domestic software. In-house development allows us to fill the needs of the IT services market for imports phase-out.

Alfa-Bank named Cinimex an "AAA class business", this status is awarded to the bank’s customers with an efficient and viable business, strong market positions and impeccable reputation.

Over the year 2020, Cinimex cooperated with VTB to implement partner and internal API platforms as part of the bank's new omnichannel platform. 

New processes were developed as part of the Operational Pipeline system for VTB to enable remote banking services. We developed new and enhanced existing integration cooperation functionality, and at present, the Operational Pipeline is deployed and integrated with the new ABS. A new process was developed to enable recognition of documents, uploaded by the customer in their client area.

Cinimex continued automation of business processes in Rosbank based on IBM Digital Business Automation platform. Some of the tasks were aimed to improve the level of services in the face of the pandemic, which includes expanding the capacities of the Contact Center when dealing with packages of banking services and simplification of access to e-trading system for corporate customers. We also implemented paperless document signing for corporate customers, so corporate accounts can be opened without going to the bank.

Cinimex team used an integration platform to enable ISO 20022 document interchange between Rosbank and other banks - members of Société Generale.

Besides, using IBM Integration Bus platform we completed migration of over 400 services to a new version and thus kept vendor support for the platform.

In Alfa-Bank, Cinimex team enhanced a software solution, which belongs to a big project for automation of credit application assessment: WSRM (Web-service Risk Management). Scoring process was optimized by the integration of a scoring product from Beeline, which assigns consumer score based on behavioural analysis of the client. The project suits Alfa-Bank's strategy for technological integration with telecommunication service providers.

As part of the project on a biometric system for Alfa-Bank, the Cinimex team enhanced a previously deployed solution, which ensures integration of the bank's systems with EIAS (Unified Information Analysis System). Over 2020, the project team completed a number of services for voice biometric authentication and NICE Nexidia analytics, aimed to boost security of transactions and enhance service processes.

In 2020, Cinimex also continued cooperation with one of our long-standing customers - Gazprombank. Cinimex team ensured support and development of: an Integration platform – Interaction Control System (ICS); Automated Administration and Maintenance system (AAM); a 1C-based system for Invoice Management (IM); Host-to-Host Integration service; and a Service Integration Platform.

In terms of ICS, we upgraded the solution and namely, updated to the newest versions of the products in use and modified system architecture in order to meet the new requirements to system productivity and scaling.

In AAM, we implemented the functionality for electronic internal approval of accounting source documents in order to enable paperless approvals, and also implemented integration with an EDF operator for the interchange of AAM-related accounting documents with Gazprombank's contracting partners.

Cinimex also worked on the development of an open API solution based on IBM API Connect platform and new partner channels.

A solution for container application management based on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform was put into test production.

Cinimex was also engaged in the project for the launch of Gazprombank's MVNO "GPB Mobile".

Our team took part in the development of Payment Hub system, designed to enable payments from retail customers to direct vendors and aggregators regardless of the service channel and its integration with Gazprombank's other systems.

At the end of the year, Cinimex was selected as vendor of digital technological platform services for our major and long-standing customer Russian Agriculture Bank.

Besides, in 2020, Russian Agriculture Bank implemented a fully-fledged troubled debts management system.

In 2020, Cinimex team working with Rosgosstrakh insurance company was engaged in the development of a microservices platform built on open-source integration framework Apache Camel. The new platform has allowed Rosgosstrakh to cut costs of development on internal integrations between different systems. The platform was used to implement export of real estate insurance contracts to the All-Russian Insurance Association.

Another project completed in 2020 was aimed to enable exporting OSAGO (third-party only car insurance) data into the new system implemented by the Russian Union of Car Insurers AIS OSAGO 2.0.

Cinimex was widely engaged in the implementation of an array of services enabling calculation of coefficients for fully comprehensive car insurance contracts, which has made it possible to take into account insurance policies issued earlier in other regions.

Last year, Cinimex team kicked off a major new project for Rosgosstrakh, aimed to address a number of different analytic tasks with help of state-of-the-art machine learning approaches. At present, the team is working on a model for geography-based customer segmentation. The algorithm processes geodata countrywide to improve the quality of insurance risk assessment and better leverage sales potential. Another task has Cinimex experts work with neural networks to enable insurance risk analysis. The system investigates interactions in the customer's business processes and teaches models to analyse them. Cinimex's data analytics experts have joined efforts with analysts from Rossgostrakh and together we evaluate research papers, and implement and adapt the most advanced machine learning approaches to achieve the goals set.

In 2020, Cinimex was selected winner of the tender for selection of vendor for implementing an API Management system in OTP Bank.

In 2020, Cinimex continued working on a unified front-end solution implemented in Otkritie bank. Last year, this project was one of the winners of ComNews Awards 2020 in the nomination "Best Digital Platform Deployment in a B2C Bank".

Cinimex also extended cooperation with NPF "Blagosostoyanie" and further enhanced Pension Calculator feature and Member Area.

Cinimex helped the Renaissance Credit Bank to implement microservices integration layer.

Cinimex developed a solution that enabled integration of Sibur Holding's accounting system with payment and accounting systems of one of its designated banks using Host-to-Host technology for currency controls document interchange.

Cinimex team is engaged in the development of a federal logistics service for 5Post (a subsidiary of X5 Retail Group) that will enable delivery of online purchases to pickup points and postamats in Pyaterochka supermarkets.

For Volkswagen Group Rus, Cinimex developed and deployed a cloud platform solution based on Kubernetes. As part of IdP system support, the project team enhanced solution stability and added a number of new features, including integration with Apple ID authentication system, which enables users of the eponymous brand to log in using their Apple account.

In 2020, Cinimex Data Lab implemented a solution for Technonicol corporation. The project was aimed at identifying customer SKU by photos using computer vision. The solution is designed to control the state of products in retail POS. The technology allows not only finding the customer's products, but also identifying its type, based on the sales mix. At present, talks are being held to figure out further development of the project and possible applications for this technology in other functional units of the company.

Another project implemented by Cinimex Data Lab was a chat bot combining an expert system with machine learning algorithms for SberService. It is designed to provide real-time contextual advice to company experts on repair of equipment. The project team not only developed a chat bot, but also used own libraries containing heavy-duty AI algorithms to ensure a better understanding of every query details.

In 2020, at the commission of Stoloto, leading Russian distributor of state-run lotteries, Cinimex Data Lab developed a system enhancing the efficiency of lottery ticket distribution across 40,000 Russian Post offices. The machine learning algorithms developed as part of the project help to forecast demand in the points of sale. The system takes account of approx. 100 factors influencing sales, transportation and disposal of lottery tickets in every post office, creating significant cost optimization. The new system has already proven its worth during the sales of the New Year draw of Russian Lotto - the biggest lottery draw of the year. It helped to optimize lottery ticket stock across different post offices. In 2021, the project moved into scaling phase.

We will hold on to our strategy for company growth. In order to strengthen and expand our expertise in analytics, we have entered into a partner agreement with SAS, and we are ready to bring a number of exciting and promising solutions to the market," commented Andrey Sykulev, Cinimex's CEO.
