Cinimex team implemented a solution aimed to integrate SIBUR’s accounting systems (SAP ERP, 1C) with Gazprombank’s payment system (remote banking services) using Host-to-Host connectivity framework and ISO20022.

Cinimex took this project on back in 2018. At present, all project phases have been put into pilot production, and the last – third phase was completed in December 2020.

Host-to-Host solution provides the customer with a unified, customizable, secure and high-performance transport layer for e-document interchange. The architecture and technology stack underpinning Host-to-Host solution, enable scaling within individual functional system components or document processing.

“Previously, we connected with the bank over the “Client Bank”, which was difficult to modify and adapt to our needs. SIBUR wanted to optimize labour costs of preparing and sending documents to the bank,” commented Valery Frolov, SIBUR’s senior financial officer, Department of Payment Management and Methodologies.

The implemented solution enables: document interchange between customer ERP systems and the bank, creation and storage of documents in Host-to-Host; digital signature on documents sent to the bank; verification of digital signature on documents received from the bank; monitoring and logging document interchange and other accompanying processes; connection of new banks, which support Host-to-Host. Besides, Host-to-Host is compatible not only with payments and account statements in Rubles, but also supports foreign currency transactions, currency controls, sending and receiving free-format documents.

“The project was aimed to make sure that the switch to the new Host-to-Host technology would be as seamless as possible for SIBUR’s accounting systems. To that end, the solution was adapted to support the formats and interchange protocols implemented within SAP and 1C, thus keeping to a minimum the need to modify them. Also, it was important to ensure compliance to severe IT security requirements when interchanging documents with the bank,” commented Olga Makhaeva, Key Accounts Manager, Cinimex.
