The TAdviser SummIT "State.Business.IT" took place on November 29 at Digital October. During the event, winners of TAdviser IT Prize 2018 were awarded. Cinimex and Alfa-Bank received an award in the category “New Banking Technologies: IT Project of the Year” for the launch of the Alfa Travel portal for loyalty program partners allowing them to use open APIs.
«Alfa-Bank has become the leading bank in this technological field. Open banking APIs allow developers and financial and technical companies to develop applications that work safely with bank’s clients’ data: history of transactions, accounts, account transactions, etc. Open APIs is one of the promising areas that is being developed in Europe as part of the revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2). This is the first project that provides an access to bank’s open APIs, and it was developed quite quickly. It took only 2.5 months to complete a full range of works (analytics, development and implementation) from idea formulation to first card issue. Market situation changes so quickly that all market players strive to shorten time to market of the product. Under these circumstances, any delay can lead to clients loss so we must constantly monitor trends and quickly respond to market needs and challenges,» said Sergey Brynin, Director of Alfa-Bank’s Processing Center. «I would like to express a special gratitude to my colleagues from Cinimex who have made a great contribution towards solving technical analytics issues and, of course, I want to thank the whole Alfa-Bank’s team.»
Pavel Myshev, Key Account Deputy Director at Cinimex, notes: «Our company has been cooperating with Alfa-Bank for over 15 years, and we have already launched many projects. Regardless of their scale, each of them is important and unique for us. Nowadays, information technologies in banks not only play the role of a backup tool or base for business, but also directly affect the positive dynamics of profit growth, offer tools and services for clients attraction, increase their loyalty level and help users of these services to minimize investments in non-core resources. The project clearly demonstrates this.»
